Will this work in my car?

If your car has a standard seat-belt buckle, yes. The clip is the same shape as a seat-belt tongue and clicks into the same latch. Recessed or unusual latches are the exception - if it does not click in, send it back.

Collar or harness?

Harness. Always. Clip the swivel snap to the D-ring on a harness, never to a flat collar - a collar puts all the force on your pet's neck.

Can they still look out of the window?

Yes. Set the tether long enough to sit, stand and lie down, short enough that they cannot reach the front seats or the footwell.

Is this crash-tested?

No. It has not been through Center for Pet Safety crash testing, and we will not claim it protects your pet in a collision. It is a tether that keeps a pet on the seat during ordinary driving. If you want crash protection, buy a certified crash-tested harness or a secured travel crate.

Front seat or back seat?

Back seat. Never the front - an airbag deploys with enough force to injure a pet.

What size dog?

The tether is adjustable and the hardware suits cats and small to medium dogs comfortably. For a large, strong dog, treat it as a positioning tether rather than a restraint.
